Quality of Life Amenities
Garner prides itself on outstanding quality of life. Safe & clean neighborhoods, recreational opportunities and employment opportunities abound in Garner. Some of the more popular amenities include our zero depth entry Aquatic Center built in 2007, our Veterans Memorial Recreation Center built in 2009, acquisition of the Garner Golf Course in 2014, and the Garner Public Library remodel project is currently underway.
Residential Development
Garner is a prime location for residential development! With great access to Mason City, Clear Lake and Forest City, Garner has seen a boom in new home construction, with 142 new homes built since 1998. The good news is that there are still building lots available in the Cobblestone II and III subdivisions and the mid-range Hejlik II subdivision has lots available as well.
