Garner Parks and Recreation DepartmentThe Garner Parks and Recreation Department is made up of six area parks, a $3.9 million Veterans Memorial Recreation Center (opened in 2009), and a $3.2 million Aquatic Center.
The department organizes and performs a variety of youth and adult recreational programs. Check out the Youth Programs and Adult Programs pages to register! New activities, programs, and events are always being designed and implemented. Make sure to keep an eye on our social media pages to stay in-the-know!
Enjoy a beautiful day out at one of the six parks. Looking for a venue for your next family reunion, birthday party, or graduation party? Check out the shelter houses available for rental at Tourist Park or Pool Park.

Meets on the third Wednesday of every month at the Veterans Memorial Recreation Center with the meeting starting at 12:00 pm. The board is made up of members of the community appointed by the Mayor of Garner, Tim Schmidt.
